Inria is the French national research institute for digital science and technology. World-class research, technological innovation and entrepreneurial risk are its DNA. In 200 project teams, most of which are shared with major research universities, more than 3,500 researchers and engineers explore new paths, often in an interdisciplinary manner and in collaboration with industrial partners to meet ambitious challenges. As a technological institute, Inria supports the diversity of innovation pathways: from open source software publishing to the creation of technological startups (Deeptech). From artificial intelligence to robotics, from simulation to mathematical proofing software and from high performance computing to the Internet of Things, Inria’s software library currently contains more than 1,500 programs, some of which boast vast communities of users. Inria supports the distribution of its open source software so that it can contribute to the technological infrastructure of innovative companies. During Open Source Experience, Inria will present three initiatives: InriaSoft, which integrates industrial users into the governance of its open source software; Inria Academy, which trains any user wishing to adopt this software; and Software Heritage, whose mission is to collect, preserve and share software heritage on a global scale.
