The stakes and problems of managing the configuration of a fleet of 20,000 servers used 24/7 by a company’s services is no easy task: whenever you make changes to it, you must do so while ensuring continuity of service and security, with areas of responsibility that are shared between many teams—and sometimes historical constraints.
